I was having trouble thinking of a song for this challenge til I thought about Christmas songs and remembered the âoh Christmas treeâ stamp Iâve had for many years and use just about every year. I recently got the retired SU set Season of Joy from Ebay, mostly because I coveted the swirly tree image, so decided to use it. I used some printed Hallmark 6-pack cards from Dollar Tree as my base card because I liked the red foil striped edges. I covered the rest of the card with some moss green cardstock. I stamped the tree and sentiment in old olive and cut it out, and layered onto some red glossy cardstock. I wrapped a bit of ribbon around the bottom of the red and white piece and die cut a poinsettia from the red glossy cardstock and attached over the ribbon with foam tape. I added the focal image piece to the card with foam tape, and sprinkled a few gem stickers on the tree and the flower center to finish.
USEIT2022 - first time using the new-to-me Season of Joy set and the poinsettia die. I had the cards in my stash for a while but hadnât used themâwish Iâd grabbed more because they will be great for mass Christmas card makingâhope they come back next fall! The ribbon is quite old and a favorite, with red on one side and green on the other, and sadly itâs nearly run out, just one little scrap left for a future card. but on the other hand, it does feel like an accomplishment to use something all the way up!
